Restoration of Christ’s Church | Now You Know

Restoration of Christ’s Church | Now You Know

When Jesus Christ lived on the earth, He organized His Church, “built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone” (Ephesians 2:20). After Christ’s death and Resurrection, He told His Apostles to continue teaching the gospel. They did as He asked, but eventually they died and the truth of Christ’s Church disappeared during a period called the Apostasy.

In the early 1800s, God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to a young man in answer to his prayer about which church to join. This young man, Joseph Smith, was told not to join any of them but that Christ’s Church would be restored through him. This led to the organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 6, 1830, a direct answer to the Apostle Peter’s prophecy in the New Testament that there would be a “restitution of all things” (Acts 3:21).

The divine return of the Church of Jesus Christ, coupled with modern-day prophets, apostles, priesthood authority, and all gospel light and knowledge, is what members of the Church refer to as the Restoration.

God restored His Church for a very simple reason: He loves all His children and wants them to have joy in this life and eventually return to live with Him. Through His living prophets and the truths in His restored Church, God shows us the way.

If anything that Joe Smith said conflicts with the Scriptures, then what he said is WRONG. And that’s what happened. It doesn’t jive with the actual Torah. For one thing, the name "Jesus" is only about 400 years old. The Messiah’s name is Yahshua–meaning "Yah’s Salvation." So if you want to be in Jesus’ church, so be it, but it’s not the one of the Messiah.

Here’s a question: What do Russians call the big tech giant? They say "Google." What do the Chinese call it? They say "Google." French, Greek, Israelis, Spanish–all say "Google." So why is it that the big tech company gets more respect than your savior? "Jesus" only came along 400 years ago; it’s from the Greek trans-mangle-ation of Yahshua:
    1. The Greeks didn’t have a "ya" sound so they substituted "eey"–a letter like an "I."
    2. They don’t have a "sh" sound (ref the Sibboleth/Shibboleth incident in scripture) so they put "s."
    3. Their rule is that men’s names have to end in "-us" so they stapled that onto the end.
The Result: Iesous–which is in the 1611 bible, but then a "J" was invented from the leading "I" with a swash.

Your mouth will say "Yahshua." It means "Yah’s salvation." Now, wouldn’t it be nice if the savior Messiah got as much respect as the tech giant does?

They misquoted the verse on 2 Thessalonians 2:3 it actually reads let no one deceive you in any. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction.

Why don’t you stop falsely advertising and be straight forward with everything Joseph’s Smith said? Why do you try to wear the veil of just plain old Christianity?

  13. Mikha'El ? on February 10, 2020 at 1:09 pm

If the authority to administer the ordinances necessary for salvation vanished from the earth, the why did the Messiah say that the "the gates of hades would not prevail" against his "church", and why did he promise, "I am with you always, even to the end of the world"?

Why would he say this only to allow the authority (necessary for salvation) to disappear from the face of the earth?

  14. Noah Ismael on February 10, 2020 at 1:10 pm

I wonder why this video says that the original apostles died off and the priesthood vanished. Did the apostles not ordain other bishops and priests to hand on the faith? Christian tradition in the early church says yes… so therefore the faith was never lost and there was never a restoration.

  17. Matthew Heun on February 10, 2020 at 1:16 pm

Grace is unmerited favor from God. Faith is trust in Christ. Salvation is by grace through faith, not of works plus faith. The book of Mormon says that you are saved by grace after all that you can do. Which contradicts what God’s word has said, which is by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourself it is the gift of God not of works least any one should boast. Salvation has always been by grace through faith, always from the time of Paul, to Martin Luther to now, Jesus did call us to repent and trust in him but repentance is not what grants you salvation but is what is required with faith in Jesus, faith in Jesus is what counts us righteous before god. Jesus who is God who has always existed with the father and the holy spirit as one God in three distinct persons for enternity. That Jesus died for your sins, took the punishment we deserve, he was than buried, and on the third day he rose from the grave, you must repent and trust in Christ, but know that the repentance and faith and salvation is a gift from God freely given, you can not earn it, nor lose it.

Like how Christians believe that if the Bible where to have one error than it is all wrong. I hope Mormons believe the same with their book. The Bible says there are no other gods but me and that I am the same yesterday as I am today. The OT explains there is only one God and will ever be only one God, and that God doesn’t change, but if Mormons will become gods one day than that would make this biblical passage false, which is impossible. Eve was told that if she ate of the fruit she will become like God and horrible things happened. Why would God punish her for eventually becoming something that she will become? It is not wise to trust new revelation or scriptures, even more so when they contradict the previous scripture. Realize and repent and accept the true Christ. For it is not enough to accept Christ but the right type and perception of Christ. Not everyone who says Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, only those who do the will of my father. The will of the Father is the acceptance of His Son for salvation alone along with the gospel. Paul warns of many other false gospels but in the end no matter how similar or how much one feels like it picks where the other leaves off, it is still a false gospel. Leave false teachings and accept the true Christ and Him alone. I say this out of love not hate, God bless

With all due love and respect, I pray that God will open your eyes to see TRUTH.
Do y’all believe that y’all will become gods one day? Do y’all believe in a “prophet” named Joseph Smith? I hope and pray that you would take heed the scripture in Isaiah 43 that there are no other gods before me, none after me.

The exegesis for Acts 3:21 in this video is one of the worst cases of eisegesis that I’ve seen in a while- please, read the prophets in their historical context and background, and then read Acts.

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. so joseph smith may God have mercy on your soul

Every false sect starts with the claim that the true Church was lost and they are the restoration of it. The truth is though, “on this rock I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18). If Mormonism is true, Jesus was a liar.

  37. Eddie Electra on February 10, 2020 at 1:32 pm

Jesus was a JEW. He was JEWISH! He was not a "christian" he did not worship himself. Christianity is a false religion started over 300 years AFTER jesus existed acoording those whom "believe". Also if Jesus stated did not come to start a new religion? All religion is false in my view, but if Jesus was jewish than there you go!

  38. RealMrFarid on February 10, 2020 at 1:34 pm

Everything taught here hinges on the Gospel having been lost. The video did not provide evidence of that, it just said that. Ask if God would ever leave the earth without a witness of His truth. His wrath came upon the entire world, but Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
All the Patriarchs and Joseph were dead, but mere midwives continued to believe God and saved Moses the Great Deliverer.
Elijah the prophet thought he was the last man of God on Earth, but God told him thousands of His followers remained.
When Israel was destroyed didn’t Daniel and his friends carry their witness to a foreign land?
God’s message didn’t appear to John the Baptist in a vacuum; he had godly parents. My point should be clear. And aren’t we living now in between the Book of Acts and the Revelation of the Apostle John? Didn’t Polycarp, Erasmus and Jerome know the truth? How about Bunyan, Knox, Whitfield, Wesley and Moody, or very imperfect Luther for that matter? Just as time fails to tell of Gideon, Samson, Jephthae, and others of the OT, so many witnesses since the NT up to our day and age are not given the time to be taught and understood as the faithful bearers of God’s continuing Truth.
Stay firm in and with the Holy Bible, and do not add to its doctrines.

Jesus taught that His church was the people who claimed Him as their Lord and Savior. He also told Peter that upon this rock He built His church and that the gates of hell shall not prevail against it, then why is their a need for restoration? Jesus was the restoration, in Him are all things restored, not a “church building”

Big Hole here: if the plan was to restore what JESUS "originally" taught, then there was an error when ‘adding to it’ a new book- the book of mormon.

The Mormon Bible does not follow the Christian Bible. It is full of many beliefs that go against what Jesus and the original apostles taught. Sadly, most Mormons are not aware of the full extent of these differences. Mormonism has deviated from historical Christianity by adding to Scripture and not making the death of Christ sufficient…exactly what was warned against!
